WIN8 Self-disk partitioning tool tutorial

First use the Windows key +x key combination, bring up the System menu, and then select the Disk Management option. There is nothing to say about this step, as long as it is possible to find this management tool. (Small series recommended: Win8 system backup and disk partitions)

In the open Disk Management interface, we can see that every partition information on our disks is displayed, as well as what extended space, free space, and unassigned, and so on.

The following is the key to partitioning, right click on the disk to prepare the partition select "Compressed volume", then a new compression window pops up. In this window we can see the total size of the letter, the size of the compressed space and the amount of input compressed space. The first two cannot be changed, and the latter is the number we need to enter.

How big a partition wants to fill it

It's important to note that the value we enter is the size of the new partition we split up, so don't get it wrong.

When the compression is complete we will see a new "free space" in Disk Management, but now that part of the space is not available, we need to actually build a partition on it.

Right-click on this new space to select "New Simple Volume", then the following is simpler, first select the size of the new partition, then the new allocation of a letter, and then select the disk properties, generally default to NTFS, finally completed.

So a new partition is built, is it simple? No other third-party tools, through the WIN8 system itself can be achieved, ready to partition friends hurriedly try it.

Of course, if you ever want to merge this partition into a previous disk, you can delete the volume and then merge the free space with the extended volume.
