Windows XP SP3 Remote Desktop Connection supports network Level authentication configuration

Knowledge Points: Network Level Authentication (NLA) is a new authentication method that completes user authentication and displays the logon screen before you establish a full Remote Desktop connection. It is a more secure authentication method that prevents a remote computer from being attacked by hackers or malicious software. The advantage of NLA is that it initially requires only a small amount of remote computer resources.  Before users are authenticated, the remote computer uses only limited resources, rather than starting the entire Remote Desktop Connection as in previous versions.  You can provide a higher level of security by reducing the risk of denial-of-service attacks that attempt to limit or block access to the Internet. Using remote computer authentication prevents us from connecting to remote computers that are installed for malicious purposes.

If "Authentication with Network Level" is enabled in Windows 7 or Windows 2008 Remote Desktop by default in XPSP3 there is no way to connect to 2008 with Remote Desktop Connection, you need to manually modify the two registry.

How do you make IT support network Level authentication? You need to manually change the two registry key values, the following:

    1. Click Start , click Run , type regedit, and then press ENTER.

    2. In the Navigation Pane, locate and click the following registry subkey:
