Optimizing the Group XP task bar

If you use a computer often open more than one application, it should cherish the space on the taskbar. However, no matter browsing the Web or using Office software, many times it is inevitable to open multiple windows, so that the Windows XP taskbar will be stuffed full. The grouped taskbar feature of Windows XP now allows you to put the same or similar programs in a group so that users can select multiple program windows by clicking on a single Window icon. By default, Windows XP puts the first open program in front. However, by adjusting the registry entries, we can also optimize this combination.

Run Registry Editor, expand the [hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\advanced] branch in turn, and click on the menu bar. Edit → New →dword value command, name the DWORD value "TaskbarGroupSize", and then double-click and change the DWORD key value:

0--windows XP will have the first open program in the front.

1--windows XP will put the largest program in the front.

After you have set up your own needs, close the Registry Editor and restart your computer, and the taskbar will be rearranged and grouped according to your requirements.

Second, put WMP on the taskbar

Right-click the taskbar to select Toolbar →windows Media play, start the WMP, and minimize the WMP window. OK now you can see that the WMP control button appears on the taskbar.

Auto-Hide Desktop icons

Right-click the taskbar to select toolbars → desktop, press and hold the front end of the Deskbar to the left of the window, right-click to set auto Hide, and also select front end display for use in other windows. Then right click on the desktop, select the "arrange icon → show desktop Icon", cancel its front √, so that the desktop icon will disappear. To use the desktop icon, the mouse pointer to the left side of the icon will automatically appear, leaving will automatically disappear.

Four, put on the desktop of the running window

Right-click in the blank space of the Windows XP taskbar, select toolbar → address, and an address toolbar appears on the taskbar. Then right-click the taskbar, click "√" before you unlock the taskbar, point to the front of the Address toolbar, and hold down and drag onto the top of the desktop to let go, and the address bar will appear above the desktop. Right-click the front end of the address bar to select Auto Hide, so that the address bar is hidden, and if you want to display the use of the address bar in other windows, select Front end display.

Now no matter what you are doing, as long as the mouse pointing to the top of the screen, the address bar will automatically appear, you can directly enter the "d:/me" type of path return directly open the appropriate folder, you can enter gpedit.msc run Group Policy, enter Regedit open Registry Editor, etc. Just like running a window. Also, right-click on the front end of the address bar to select toolbars → new toolbar, expand My Computer in the New Toolbar window, select C:\Documents and settings→ Morning Star → favorites, and click ">>" after favorites. icon to select the Web site you want from the Favorites folder directly to the Internet.
