Recent projects have been done in the Windows environment, and have encountered a problem: There are many configuration models of the same mini PC, the need to put a computer's entire environment (including configuration, environment, drivers, etc.), the full migration to another computer. Although this problem sounds easier, but I do it by the time it is still a long study. (Programmers do not repair computer system sign ...) Here is also a record of the method.

The preparation conditions are as follows:

• 1. Two or more configurations, models, manufacturers and other parameters exactly the same PC, (this is not a hard requirement, but the difference can not be too large, there are some special drivers, such as the use of the touch screen drive in our project, we need the exact same model to be able to work properly)

• 4. A USB flash drive at least 8G (depending on the size of the system disk you want to ghost, my 8.9G C-Drive ghost comes out about 4-5 g)

Then we can start the action, first download a key ghost software, in the setup options can do some common configuration (the general user may be a lot of parameters do not know what meaning, you can default on the line.) ), then click on a button backup, then the program will prompt you to reboot and then go to ghost screen:

Then is the long wait process, ghost succeeds, can find a c_pan. Gho file (specific location I don't remember very clearly, anyway in the root directory), this. The Gho file is the image file of the C drive, with all the information in your C drive, including some user information. So when packaging Gho, you can also set a password in the settings of the start screen to ensure security.

The next step is to download and install the old peaches, it can easily make the U disk into a PE boot disk, and provide a lot of convenient features. We will need to select the installation version and the UEFI version when downloading, what is the difference between these two? Simply put: The installed version is the normal installation version, the UEFI version is specifically for use with UEFI boot new computer, this startup method has advantages, but limited to the new computer motherboard BIOS support. In general, our normal computer to choose the installed version on it.

After the download is successful, we open the software:

Path selection of our U disk (need to format, so early backup of useful information), select the mode, the general default can be, click on a button to make a startup U disk.

After the successful production, we can see a Gho folder in the path of the U disk, this time the generated c_pan. Copy the Gho file to the inside.

Then the last step, plug the USB stick into the computer that needs to be installed, start the computer, and enter the BIOS (F2 or F12 or. Specific look at the computer model and brand), choose a USB stick to boot, into the old Peaches PE.

Select Old Peaches Win8pe, enter WINDOWS8 PE, select Restore partition, then select the C_pan we just had. GHO. Click OK. The system restarts automatically after waiting for some time. At this point, we will automatically enter into our copy system. We will find that all the configurations are identical to the original computer. (content in C drive only, the contents of other disks will not be copied)

In this way, we can often back up a Gho file, the system can be restored after the crash, and can easily copy more than one environment of the same computer.
