I don't know why it does not support serial hard drives. Second, although many people say that fc5 is not easy to use, I have been familiar with it for two years, in addition to the failure of the fc5 Add/delete program, it will crash in the standby mode. The built-in apache and mysql are not easy to use, and too many disadvantages have not been found.

In any case, I finally installed it. I divided it into 20 GB, and formatted a 15 GB fat32 on windows to share data, however, it was later found that fc5 could access ntfs (as if rh9 was previously unavailable ).

The NIC is LAN MarVell Yukon 88e8039. No way, I went back to xp. The official Marvell website has a driver to download, but it is disconnected every time it is finished, thunder was uninstalled a few days ago. firefox's default download tool does not support resumable upload. I had to keep watching the animation and finally download it for 8th times.

The driver can be compiled only from the linux source code, but the append and delete program of fc5 cannot be used (it is strange that I have never used pirut installed with fc5 on all machines ), I used find in linux, src, and source as keywords and found the keywords. The results could not be found. There must be some. I have installed them before, so I have no choice but to read the rpm list, it turns out that the rpm name starts with kernel. Why didn't I think of it? (because it cannot be accessed, it cannot be checked)

Compile the new kernel, restart it, and then
Modprobe sk98lin
Ifconfig eth0 up

Finally, we can see eth0.

After installing rp-pppoe several times, we finally got connected!

Run pppoe-setup first, mainly by entering the user name and password, and the DNS server.

Modify/etc/ppp/option and set it
Lock
Debug
Remotename adsl
Defaultroute

Then pppoe-start. If you see connected, it will be OK. Otherwise, you need service network restart, and then re-ifconfig eth0 and pppoe-start.

I opened firefox but couldn't go to the Internet. I pinged it and found that the dns server could not be pinged. But I went back to windows, searched several dns ip addresses, went back to fc5, and pinged it, there are two available, write to/etc/resolve. conf

We found that bbs.tju.edu.cn is still inaccessible.

Netstat-rn can see the p2p gateway, restart the network, and find that some domain names can be resolved, such as sina, google, but not some, such as yolan.bokee.com and other blog addresses.

You can access the Internet without setting dns in xp. Maybe some pppoe attributes are not configured properly.

Next time, I want to install amarok and kmplayer (these two software are installed on every linux machine ~~), Maybe they have feelings on their interfaces before, but to be honest, I never use interfaces that can change various skins (Qt + KDE), although they still look pretty.
