The most interesting thing about the SXSW convention is the variety of new and fun mobile internet apps. For example, this software named local Mind.
It's a location-based service, but it's characterized by a combination of "localization" and "socialization quiz". After months of beta testing, the local Mind is finally officially released, and it can connect to multiple Check in and SNS services to spread your questions to the surrounding users in a short time.
For example, when you get to a strange place, just send a "nice Chinese restaurant around?". Or see a group of people at the party, only need to send a "free beer?", you can get enthusiastic people to answer accurately. This is more reliable and more real-time than the comments on Yelp (or the National public comment).
In the local Mind software interface, you can see a map showing the users who have been signed here (for example, 4SQ check-in) and click on him to ask him questions.
Currently, local Mind only supports the IPhone platform, but they promise to provide multi-platform programs as soon as possible. But even if you don't have a smartphone, you can use the service-sending your questions to a certain number in a text message.
The current competitor for local Mind should be created by Robert Boyle to give the right questions to the right people to answer.
