There is a bus station near my home.There're always a lot of people.At the do
or of the station,a old man sells popcorn there everyday.
He is tall and big ,but he always sits there.He is in seventies.He is black a
nd often wears a black clothe which seems dirty.When I pass by,I see him smoke.J
ust one glance,I go on walking .
One night,I was on the road to home,I saw him doing popcorn.He stood there ,a
couple of lovers stood in front of him.At that time ,I also wanted to eat popco
rn.So I went there.I said:"How much the popcorn."He answered loudly and unclearl
y.I didn't understand what he meaned.So I asked him to repeat that .He still ans
wered loudly and unclearly.I watched his black face and heard his unclear words,
suddenly I felt very frighted.So I didn't want any popcorn and ran away.
After that time ,I seldomly think about popcorn.But when I pass by him ,I sti
ll see his black face and his cigarette.
Nanjing becomes cold day by day.People wear a lot of clothes.When they walk o
n the road,the speed of steps is quick,for they hope to get home as qucikly as p
ossible ,I do also have such thoughts.Nobody wants stay outside for it is really
very cold.
Today was Saturday,I went to a book store ,read some books.When I left the bo
ok store,it was about 6p.m.The big stores had been crowded with people ,differen
t colors of lights appeared in the sky.They were beautiful.I saw them through th
e window of bus.When I got off the bus,I prepared to run .But I didn't forget to
see the old man.He sat there and smoked.His black face seemed more black,and I
saw his big eyes .He looked like thinking something important .The light of the
cirgette shrinked his face.
At that time,I felt tears in my eyes.I see the old man everyday,but I never t
hink about who he is,why he comes to bus station to make popcron ,where his childr
en?So many questions all come to my mind this time.
He is old enough to be feeded by his children ,right?Why does he comes out to
do popcorn in such cold weather?Does he feel cold of the body or the heart?What
was he thinking about when I saw him?His children ,his rest years or his wife?I
'm puzzled by these questions,but I do know he should stay at home ,warmly in b
ed ,watch TV.
