一、ITU簡介：
1、ITU is the leading United Nations agency for information and communication technologies. As the global focal point for governments and the private sector, ITU's role in helping the world communicate spans 3 core sectors: radiocommunication, standardization and development. ITU also organizes TELECOM events and was the lead organizing agency of the World Summit on the Information Society.
ITU is based in Geneva, Switzerland, and its membership includes 191 Member States and more than 700 Sector Members and Associates.

2、Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R)
   plays a vital role in the global management of the radio-frequency spectrum and satellite orbits - limited natural resources which are increasingly in demand from a large and growing number of services such as fixed, mobile, broadcasting, amateur, space research, emergency telecommunications, meteorology, global positioning systems, environmental monitoring and communication services - that ensure safety of life on land, at sea and in the skies

3、Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T)
    ITU-T Recommendations (standards), form the foundations of the information and communications technologies of today. Anytime you make a simple telephone call, send an SMS, or receive streaming video to your mobile phone or computer an ITU-T Recommendation will have played a fundamental role. Developed in study groups (SGs) made up of experts from the private and public sectors, ITU-T Recommendations help drive the global information society allowing social and economic development worldwide.

4、Telecommunication Development Sector (ITU-D)
    The mission of the Telecommunication Development Sector (ITU-D) aims at achieving the Sector's objectives based on the right to communicate of all inhabitants of the planet through access to infrastructure and information and communication services.
The mission encompasses ITU’s dual responsibility as a United Nations specialized agency and an executing agency for implementing projects under the United Nations development system or other funding arrangements.

二、ITU-T簡介：

1、ITU-T: ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector(ITU電信標準組)
The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is one of the three Sectors of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), which was founded in 1865. ITU-T was established on 1 March 1993 within the framework of the "new" ITU, replacing the former International Telegraph and Telephone Consultative Committee (CCITT).
(ITU電信標準組是1865年成立的國際電信聯盟的三個組之一，ITU-T於1993年1月在新的ITU架構下成立，替代了原有的CCITT國際電報電話諮詢委員會(其前身))

The function of ITU-T is to provide global telecommunication standards by studying technical, operating and tariff questions. The results of these studies are published as ITU-T Recommendations.
ITU-T的功能是通過研究技術、運營、收費問題提供全球的電信標準。研究結果以ITU-T建議的形式發布。

ITU-T aims to continue to be recognized as the pre-eminent worldwide telecommunication standards body.

2、SG4 制定網管相關標準的工作群組
   the management of telecommunication services, networks, and equipment, including support for next generation networks (NGN) and the application and evolution of the telecommunication management network (TMN) framework. Additionally, it is responsible for other telecommunication management studies relating to designations, transport-related operations procedures, and test and measurement techniques and instrumentation. （電信管理網相關標準）
