Active Directory Service Interfaces (ADSI) 2.5

Read Me First Microsoft Active Directory Service Interfaces version 2.5 (ADSI) should be used only where the Novell Directory Service (NDS) provider is required. For all other environments, use the updated Active Directory Client Extensions (DSClient) or the ADSI system component that is integrated with the Windows 2000 and Windows XP operating systems. There will be no updates to ADSI 2.5 and Microsoft support is limited. For more information see the Microsoft Knowledge Base article (Q289105). ADSI 2.5 includes providers - objects that interface between the client and server portions of the directory service.
