蘋果要求所有新app以及版本更新必須支援iOS 8 SDK和64-bit

2014年10月20日，蘋果官方發布了一則新聞，新聞內容如下：

Starting February 1, 2015, new iOS apps uploaded to the App Store must include 64-bit support and be built with the iOS 8 SDK, included in Xcode 6 or later. To enable 64-bit in your project, we recommend using the default Xcode build setting of “Standard architectures” to build a single binary with both 32-bit and 64-bit code.

要求自2015年2月份起，所有提交的新app和更新版本的app必須使用iOS 8 SDK，並提供64-bit支援。

蘋果此次要求開發人員使用iOS 8 SDK和去年要求開發人員使用iOS 7 SDK的情況類似，不過支援64-bit的要求卻是實質性的。

蘋果在2013年發布iPhone 5s的時候推出了64位A7處理器。目前蘋果僅銷售少量不支援64-bit的低端裝置，所以這是一個讓開發人員支援新技術的好機會。

支援64位的iOS app必須使用iOS 8 SDK構建，對64位的支援意味著應用可以充分利用蘋果A7、A8以及A8X晶片的效能。
