 介紹：該執行個體代表 JSP 所屬的 WEB 應用本身，用於 JSP 頁面，或者在 Servlet 之間資訊交換。 常用方法有 getAttribute( name , value)、setAttribute( name , value)、getInitParameter( name )  等。

 

執行個體：

在a.jsp 頁面聲明一個變數i  並把這個值放入 application 中 命名為"counter"

 

<%! int i; %>

 

<%application.setAttribute("counter",String.valueOf(++i));%>

 

放入application之後，可以在任何頁面調用"counter" 的值 i .
<%=application.getAttribute("counter")%>

 

 

application 還有一個重要的用處：可用於獲得Web 應用程式（web.xml）的配置參數。

 

在 web.xml 檔案中使用 <context-param> 元素配置，和參數  <param-name> <param-value> 例如：

  在 JSP 頁面中可以用application 取出參數 取：

 

通過這種方式可以將一些資訊放在  web.xml 檔案中配置，從而提高程式的移植性。
