Listening a beautiful song named Leave the lights on.
Now I’m learning how to pronounceand how to read, it’s easy to make pauses in reading but it’s hard to pronounce. You have to
pay much attention to your lips ,your tongue, and the articulation position. Sometimes I really feel sick over it, but I know its importance. So, just do it.
What’s the importance? You know pronunciation is a habit and once the good habit is formed , you can say anything naturally and
correctly. Don’t try to learn them by heart, it’s no use. With practice, it becomes less of an effort. I’m sure you know how to form a habit , a properplan and action right?
I’m approaching the America accent. And nowadays quite a lot of people all over the world prefer to speak with an America accent.
There are many teachers on the internet who can teach you how to speak English like native speakers. You can choose one and follow him and that’s the way I do. And it works.
But I really have pressure because my oral English is not good. I’d like to tell something about my communication experience. I have some foreign friends onSkype, but few of them are
from English speaking countries. Once I talked to a man from Pakistan, you know what? I can’t understand him totally. Then I told him the fact that I felt
embarrassed and I was speechless because his pronunciation was a bit strange. To my surprise, he said I hurt him and he really respected Chinese.
What should I say? Maybe you can avoid this embarrassing situation if you took my advice. Be patient when you add Pakistan and India people or you’d better not.
There’s a saying like this, English was born in Britain, improved in America , but died in Pakistan and India. Can you imagine?
