Arch Linux 安裝 Xerox Phaser 3125N 網路印表機備忘錄

配置 Xerox Phaser 3125N 印表機的 IP 位址

給 Xerox Phaser 3125N 印表機串連上網路線，並開啟電源。按住印表機上 Cancel 鍵不放，直到印表機列印出 Configuration 頁。記下其中的 MAC Address。然後在 Windows 主機上使用 Set IP 工具根據 MAC Address 配置 IP Address。

注意，Xerox Phaser 3125N 列印沒有液晶屏，只有一個 Cancel 按鈕，所以沒有辦法在印表機上配置 IP Address。

安裝和配置 CUPS

按以下步驟進行：

$ sudo pacman -S --needed cups ghostscript gsfonts$ sudo rc.d start cupsd$ sudo vim /etc/rc.conf( 增加 cupsd 到 DAEMONS )

下載 Xerox Phaser 3125N 印表機驅動

按以下步驟進行：

( http://www.support.xerox.com/support/phaser-3125/downloads-fx/enus.html?operatingSystem=win7x64 )$ wget http://download.support.xerox.com/pub/drivers/3125/drivers/win7/pt_BR/Phaser_3125_W7.zip

將 Phaser_3125_W7.zip 解壓後，得到 Printer/PS/English/WinXP_VISTA_64/xp3125.ppd 檔案。

在 CPUS 中添加 Xerox Phaser 3125N 印表機

1. 在 Chromium 瀏覽器地址欄中輸入 localhost:631，出現 Home - CUPS 1.6.1 頁面。
2. 點擊 Adding Printers and Classes，出現 Administration - CPUS 1.6.1 頁面。
3. 點擊 Add Printer，出現 Add Printer - CUPS 1.6.1 頁面。
4. 在中點擊 Coutinue，出現 Add Printer - CUPS 1.6.1 的下一頁面。
5. 在中填入 Name、Description 和 Location 項目，然後點擊 Coutinue，出現 Add Printer - CUPS 1.6.1 的下一頁面。
6. 在中點擊“選擇檔案”，選擇上一步中得到的 xp3125.ppd 檔案(安裝完成後會複製到  /etc/cups/ppd/Xerox-3125.ppd)。再點擊 Add Printer。
7. 添加印表機完成。
8. 點擊 Home - CUPS 1.6.1 頁面中的 Printers，出現 Printers - CUPS 1.6.1 頁面。
9. 在中點擊 Xerox-3125，出現 Xerox-3125 - CUPS 1.6.1 頁面。
10. 在中選擇 Maintenance -> Set Default Options，出現 Set Printer Options - CUPS 1.6.1 頁面。
11. 在中點擊 General， 在出現的 General 頁面中將 PageSize 改為 A4，再點擊 Set Default Options 按鈕。
12. 大功告成。
