• 捕獲臭蟲於設計階段要優於編碼、編譯階段。
• 捕獲臭蟲於編碼、編譯階段要優於單元測試階段。
• 捕獲臭蟲於單元測試階段要優於系統調試階段。
• 捕獲臭蟲於系統調試階段要優於prerelease/beta版測試階段。
• 捕獲臭蟲於prerelease/beta版測試階段要優於被你的客戶所捕獲。
• 被你的客戶（以一種適當巧妙、優美的方式）捕獲到臭蟲要優於沒有客戶。
