Entity Framework開源了

EFTeam Dev的部落格上發了文章Entity Framework source code has been released under an open source license ，Scott 也發了相關的部落格Entity Framework and Open Source。EF團隊成員One Unicorn也寫了部落格 Why open sourcing Entity Framework is a great move。

Entity Framework的網站在 http://entityframework.codeplex.com/，正在為EF5.0的發布而努力。

目前已公開的程式碼封裝括EF Runtime、Code First、DbContext API等項目，根據Scott Hanselman的說法，EF Designer的代碼以後也會開源。

Microsoft聲明，EF將繼續獲得完整的支援，無論是獨立的版本還是Visual Studio內建的版本.

公告中EF團隊還展望了他們的EF6開發計劃。將進入EF6的最重要特性包括：

• Code First支援預存程序和函數
• 基於任務的Async（使用.NET 4.5）
• 自訂Code First conventions
