Goal

How to download the latest patches and updates using 11.2.0.2.0 OUI ?
Solution

1 .You have to invoke the following command to download the latest patch sing and updates using OUI

For windows :


 setup.exe -downloadUpdates

For Unix


./runInstaller -downloadUpdates

2. Give the valid My Oracle Support user name and password

3.Check the connect to My Oracle Support is succeeded .

4. Oracle Universal Installer is retrieving the list of the available update from My Oracle Support .

5.OUI is showing/listing  the available updates for download and the download location .

6.Download of the patch updates is in progress .

7. Download of the patch updates is complete .

8. The patch is download successfully .

The directory where you have download the patch update have the following structure
Example :
D:\Patch_Updates>dir /p
Volume in drive D has no label.
Volume Serial Number is C882-2598

Directory of D:\Patch_Updates
