locate inittab 尋找名稱包含inittab的所有資訊（快速搜尋，實際上它是搜尋linux資料庫，區別於find在某一個磁碟分割或者某一個目錄中進行尋找）

locate locate.db 搜尋linux資料庫

touch /tmp/meinv  在tmp目錄中建立一個meinv檔案locate meinv 找不到結果(資料庫沒有更新)find /tmp -name meinv  能夠找到meinv的結果

touch /root/meinv 在root目錄中建立meinv檔案locate meinv 找不到meinv檔案find /root -name meinv 找到了meinv檔案updatedb  手動更新資料庫locate meinv   找到了meinv檔案

特別注意：如果是在tmp目錄建立的檔案，即使手動更新了資料庫，locate命令也不能找到它
