[Linux]ubuntu更新支援

之前對Ubuntu的更新支援，LTS沒有深入理解，一直使用ubuntu 10.10 maverick，資源佔用，效率都很滿意。

今天使用sudo apt-get install 無法安裝軟體，錯誤提示如下：

第一反應，是ubuntu支援到期了，但之前理解是“不再提供軟體的官方更新”，但ubuntu 10.10中發行版本的軟體應該可以用吧。這裡是我理解錯誤。

訪問：http://cn.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/ 查看，已經沒有maverick的支援了。又結合http://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ubuntu的長期支援版本部分內容，尤其：

確定問題所在，解決方案：

1. 升級新版本。困難，折騰，贊未考慮。

2. 使用舊版本更新源，但目前已經沒有了maverick相應支援軟體目錄，無法下載軟體。

Google 問題解決：http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-1127305.html，文中指的曆史版本是ubuntu 7.04 feisty. 道理相通.
Feisty has expired and no longer support. Therefore, the repos have been moved to http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/.You need to replace the current repos in your /etc/apt/sources.list with the new repos, http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/.deb http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu feisty main restricted

［old-release解決方案］有效解決此問題，但嘗試了下，國外的伺服器速度太慢，幾乎無法忍受。

3. 考慮ubuntu 10.04是LTS版本，且於10.10差距不大，可否使用10.04的源更新安裝軟體。

測試使用10.04 lucid的更新源，軟體安裝成功，暫時使用此方案。

 

對Linux更新支援方案理解尚未深入，同時選擇系統版本安裝時需考慮長期更新版本，後續升級問題。下一步考慮升級到12.04了。
