python提示AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'append'

在寫python指令碼時遇到AttributeError: ‘NoneType‘ object has no attribute ‘append‘
a=[]
b=[1,2,3,4]
a = a.append(b)
執行一次後發現a的類型變為了NoneType。
下次執行時就會出現如題所示的錯誤。
把a = a.append(b)改為a.append(b)後問題解決。原因：append會修改a本身，並且返回None。不能把傳回值再賦值給a。
