QT for linux 的錯誤 undefined reference to ‘FcFreeTypeQueryFace’ 的解決方案

下載了qt-sdk-linux-x86-opensource-2009.02.bin，在redhat linux as5 下安裝後，可以正常啟動qt creator了。可是編譯qt內建的example程式的時候卻發現連結有錯誤：

/opt/qtsdk-2009.02/qt/lib/libQtGui.so:undefined reference to 'FcFreeTypeQueryFace'

經搜尋，跟fontconfig的版本有關係，AS5上的是2.4.1，據說要2.4.2以上版本才可以。不過我直接從 http://www.fontconfig.org/release/ 下載最新的2.6.0的源碼。

解開後按照INSTALL檔案裡的說明安裝了fontconfig，然後就可以正常編譯器啦：

  1. 進入解開的fontconfig目錄，可以看到INSTALL檔案等
  2. ./configure --sysconfdir=/etc --prefix=/usr --mandir=/usr/share/man
  3. make
  4. make install
