   We are the World

      

    如果說哪首歌可以配得上蘇軾那高唱大江東去的豪邁情懷，可以有地崩山摧、波濤洶湧的壯闊氣勢，可以有天地為之動容，江山為之改色的曠世震憾，那麼，此曲《We are the world》可謂名符其實.

    正如這首歌曲的曲名一樣，它讓上帝感受到了當人類大家庭團結起來時，那種空前的溫情、友愛與互助氛圍。

    這首創作於1985年並在當年轟動全球的歌曲，是為向埃塞俄比亞空前的大饑荒的災民籌集善款，由世界的著名歌手及樂隊聯手合唱的。1985年7月13日，名為“拯救生命”的大型搖滾樂演唱會在英國倫敦和美國費城同時舉行。13日中午，演唱會先在倫敦威姆布萊體育場開幕．72000人出席了開幕式。兩小時後，美國費城約翰·甘迺迪體育場的音樂會也宣布開始，共有9萬人觀看了演出。演出一直持續了16個小時，並通過全球通訊衛星網路向140多個國家播出了實況，估計總共吸引了近15億的電視觀眾。全世界100多位著名搖滾樂歌星參加了這次義演，他們之中有鮑博·迪倫、保爾·麥卡特尼、布魯斯·斯普林斯廷、蒂娜·特納、艾爾頓·約翰、邁克·傑克遜等。整個演出過程共籌集到了善款逾5000萬美元。搖滾歌星們完成了靠政治家喋喋不休的演說和國際會議沒完沒了的討論所根本完成不了的壯舉。

    歌曲的開始部分，歌者向我們細細傾訴：There are people dying and it's time to lend our hands. 隨後，歌手在逐漸激昂的曲調中，向人類大家庭的同胞們呼號：That someone, somehow will soon make a change.歌曲在高潮部分將全曲洋溢著的全球一家的主旨推向了極點: We are the world, we are the children . We are the ones who make a brighter day so let’s start giving. 此刻，我們的心靈得到了一次洗禮、一次震撼，感動的心緒久久不能撫平，熱淚在眼眶中打轉。因為這首歌中所歌詠的那種跨越了國界、種族、膚色的世界精神所包容的偉大情懷，是我們任何一個有著熾熱情感的人類一份子所無法抗拒的。這的的確確是一首前無古人，後無來者的曠世佳曲。
