一件想不明白的事情

  今天,在網上閑逛.搜尋了一些關於qmail的工具包,畢竟曾經做過相關的工作,對於這個開源一流的mail server還是比較青睞. 在sourceforge上,偶然發現,搜尋結果的最上端竟然有兩家qmail服務公司的廣告.頓時好奇,一個開源軟體,怎麼會有別的公司來做服務?

就進入了兩家公司的首頁,看了看他們提供的服務.不看不知道,一看下一跳啊!其中一家公司叫做DRH  internet,他主要提供email相關的服務,包括qmail諮詢,安裝,維護;其他mail  server的諮詢;mail  hosting等等.  繼續往下看,發現了他們的qmail相關服務,當我看到各種qmail安裝服務的價格時,徹底驚呆了!

以上這些基本就是qmail和相關的工具包的組合應用,所有軟體均屬於開源軟體,公司根本不用投入任何的開發,這些東西居然能要價這麼高,這個,這個,這個,我一個大學生確實不能理解啊!

看了之後,就徹底瘋狂了.記得我兼職的那家公司,同樣出售qmail相關軟體和服務,同樣是防病毒,防垃圾同時提供web管理介面,安全服務.他們的產品,每次的安裝費用只有1000人民幣啊!

再想一下開辦這樣一家諮詢公司的成本,最重要的就是幾個精通qmail服務安裝,配置,管理,維護的技術人員,再加上幾位處理業務的人員,然後就是一個小的辦公室,一個web伺服器,幾台pc機,其他的東西就不是很重要了.如果按照這個標準,那我們幾個大學生在本科學習中,沒人鑽研一年qmail,到了畢業的時候,豈不是可以開開一家這樣的公司了?因為我們不需要自己的產品,只需要手頭的技術,再加上市場的宣傳.這個可能嗎?

真是想不明白,難道這就是國內國外市場的差別?怎麼好像在國外辦一家公司是如此簡單的事情,好像到了中國,雖然你提供同樣的服務,同樣的產品,但是卻永遠只能掙紮在崩潰的邊緣?
