User-Agent字串是伺服器判斷Web用戶端的重要依據。 MSDN上有篇文章《Understanding User-Agent Strings》 很好，建議讀一下。

 

以下列出IE8在不同Windows版本以及不同渲染模式下的User-Agent 字串，便於參考。

 

IE8 on Windows Vista (相容視圖)

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.0; Trident/4.0)

IE8 on Windows Vista (標準視圖)

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.0; Trident/4.0)

IE8 on Windows 7

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; Trident/4.0) 

 

64-bit IE on 64-bit Windows:

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.0; Win64; x64; Trident/4.0)

32-bit IE on 64-bit Windows:

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.0; WOW64; Trident/4.0)
