Scientific Linux v4.9 i386 & x86_64發佈

Scientific Linux是重新編譯的Red Hat Enterprise Linux，由費米國家加速器實驗室、歐洲核研究組織以及世界各地的大學和實驗室共同開發。 它旨在與Red Hat Enterprise Linux完全相容，它也提供了上游產品中未收入的額外套裝軟體。 這當中最值得一提的是各種檔案系統，包括Cluster Suite和Global HTTP://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/19352.html">File System（GFS）、 FUSE、OpenAFS、Squashfs、Unionfs，以及對Intel無線固件的無線網路支援、MadWiFi和NDISwrapper、Sun JAVA及JAVA Development Kit（JDK）、 羽量級的IceWM視窗管理器、面向統計計算的R語言環境，以及Alpine郵件用戶端。 同時它也強調自主方便的定制，使用者可以根據自己的需求做相應修改，可以使用腳本或者Anaconda給自己定制最小化的安裝模式。

Scientific Linux 4.9 has been released. We want to thank all those who have contributed time helping us build and test this release. Scientific Linux 4.9 contains almost 2 years of security and bug fixes. There are no new features or packages, but it is a nice stable release.
Scientific Linux release 4.9 is based on the rebuilding of RPMS out of SRPMS's from Enterprise 4, including Update 9. It also has all errata and bugfixes up until April 19, 2011.
