Zenwalk v7.0 RC3發佈 基於Slackware的GNU/Linux作業系統

Zenwalk Linux（以前叫做Minislack）是一份基於Slackware的GNU/Linux作業系統，其宗旨在於以每項任務只設置一個應用程式來保持精 簡和快捷，它還著重于圖形桌面及多媒體使用。 Zenwalk的特色在於包含最新的Linux技術以及一整套程式設計環境和運行庫，它能為HTTP://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/13521.html">應用程式開發人員提供 一份理想的平臺。 Zenwalk的模組化實現方法還提供了能將Zenwalk Linux轉化為具有高度調節性的現代化伺服器（如LAMP架構、通訊、檔共用）的簡便方法。

Since RC2 we have fixed all reported bugs and the OS seems to be stable, so here we go for RC3, hopefully the last 7.0 rel ease candidate. The kernel was downgraded to 2.6.35.11 (a long term supported special branch) as we encountered several regressions with 2 .6.37. Zenwalk 7.0 will come with XFCE 4.8.1 (stable version, many bugs have been fixed since 4.8.0), and we are pleased to annou nce that OpenOffice will be replaced by LibreOffice which appeared to be more reliable on Zenwalk during our testing proce ss (stability is very important for an office software).

We also changed a little bit the way we manage packages, you may have noticed that we no longer provide a "current" reposi tory. We had to find a solution to make package management safe and clear for the average user : from now, for each version of Z enwalk, we will provide a versionalized repository including extra packages, where all packages are "certified compatible" with the given version (ie : 6.4, 7.0, ...). The "snapshot" repository will keep being an "experimental" work-in-progress repository, as usual.
