As a hot technology, the development of CSS is indeed a bit slow. CSS was first proposed in 1994, first supported by the browser in 1996, CSS has been held up as a traditional HTML-based web code successor. CSS uses style sheets to control the entire site's font and layout capabilities, making it look very efficient, easy to design, and visionary. However, there has always been a myth around CSS, which hinders web designers from learning and mastering the language. What is it that makes people fuss?
We visited the university teacher Christopher Schmitt, who is one of the advocates of CSS. Christopher is convinced that CSS will become one of the essential knowledge of web designers.
Q: What are the top ten reasons why you think all of us should learn and start using CSS now that the CSS has entered the golden development period?
Christopher: Oh, here are my top ten reasons, not in the rank of successively:
The 1.CSS will begin building from the ground up to a comprehensive alternative to traditional web design methodologies. The CSS technology created by the organization will replace HTML tables, font tags, frames, and other HTML elements for presentation.
2. Improve page browsing speed. Using CSS methods, you save at least 50% more file sizes than traditional web design methods.
3. Shorten the revision time. Simply modify a few CSS files to redesign a site with hundreds of pages.
4. Strong font control and typesetting ability. The ability of CSS to control fonts is much better than bad font tags, with CSS, we no longer need to use the font tag or transparent 1 px gif to control the title, change the font color, font style and so on.
5.CSS is very easy to write. You can write CSS as easily as you would write HTML code.
6. Improve ease of use. Using CSS, you can structure HTML, for example:
