4 Alternative text typesetting styles for WPS

1. Highlighting-Unique frame type

The title of a circle or square-shaped outer ring gives a more prominent feeling and is noticeable. To add a circle or square frame to a specific text, you do not need to stack this stupid method with text or circle graphics. Simply apply the "circled font" tool provided in the "Font" Settings project group to complete the setup.

First enter Chinese characters or other characters and select the text you want to set (note that it is a single text). Click on the "Circled font" drop-down menu in the Text Tool group to select the circled characters.

In the Circled Character Style Setup window, we find that the font set is much smaller than the original word. At this point, if you want to enlarge the display, simply select "Increase ring" in the list of styles to make sure.

We note that not only can you set the outer circle frame in this way, but you can also select 3 other boxes, including boxes, triangles, and diamonds, from the circle number list.

If you want to add a border effect to text, you can use the box type above to display the border of a single Chinese character. However, if you want to add a whole border to a line of text, you need to implement it by using the character border command in the circled Font menu.

2. Get rid of mediocrity--any direction text

At ordinary times, our text is arranged horizontally and vertically. Even a text box is simply a flexible placement. However, if you set some text to any direction of typesetting, will give more dynamic layout. To do this, you can use the rotation of the text box to implement it.

Insert a text box by using the wps Insert → text box command (Word 2016 is an insert → text → text box). After selecting the text box, you find that the center of the border has a semicircular arrow button, and you can rotate the text box by pressing the button and dragging the mouse. If you want italic text to appear without Borders in the layout, click the Line button at the bottom of the toolbar on the right to set the line to none.

The clever use of the Text Tool menu. After WPS activated the text box, we found that the system produced a Text tool menu that allows you to apply many patterns of artistic text styles in preset styles (called Quick Styles in Word 2016). In addition, if you are not satisfied with these preset effects, you can also make the text version of the fill, contour, direction, effect, and other free user-defined settings.

3. Change in stability--arbitrary shape text

In the text box in the layout, although the text content is not easy to change, but the text layout form can get rid of the Dengbal invariant rectangular mode, to seek more changeable style block text.

Create a plain text box first. When you click on the text box to activate, you can see the appearance of another menu "drawing Tool" in WPS, which allows you to set the text box to any other style that is not rectangular. Select the text box, click the drawing tools → edit shape → change shape, and then select the desired shape from the preset shape.

In Word 2016, you change the settings from the drawing tools → format → shape menu.

Also, we can make further effect settings for custom shapes, including padding, outlines, and various preset shape effects. You can even create a text box with three-dimensional effects. This only needs to be done by selecting the appropriate effect under the Shape Style selection box.

4. Colorful-art-breath text

If the above text effect is based on a text box, then we can also use another object to achieve the special artistic effect of the text, that is, "WordArt."

The production of WordArt is relatively simple, simply through the WPS "Insert → WordArt" command button, from the pop-up preset WordArt style to choose a style, and then in the open template to enter their own text.

The action path for Word 2016 is "Insert → text → WordArt."

Although the system has a very limited range of WordArt styles, however, as with the text box settings above, when the WordArt box is selected in WPS, the Text tool and drawing tools two menus appear, and through the command buttons in the two menus, we can flexibly set up the current WordArt.
