Scanning to the net method 1

Friends who like picture processing often need to scan some pictures in newspapers and magazines. Because the painting and the picture are the continuous tones to express the image of the light and shade level, and printing is the use of the size of the mesh point to show the color shading of the screen. 2, with PS built-in filter "dust and scratches" to remove the mesh. Note: When using this method to go to the net, scan the settings to set the network option to no, that is, the scan does not go to the net. As shown in PS, after scanning the image to perform "filter noise dust and scratches," pull out the dust and scratches panel:

Set a radius of 1 and a threshold of 10, and the preview box displays the results of the operation under the current setting when the Preview option is checked. Confirm and get the following results:

The image obtained by this method is relatively complete in detail, but in most areas of the pattern, especially in the gray section, the dot is still apparent. In the case of increasing the radius, you can eliminate large area, but the quality of the picture and details of the loss will be greatly increased. The following is the result of a radius of 2 and a threshold of 20:

This method is the most commonly used and the most simple and practical method at present, but the result is not very satisfactory.

3, with "Draw the line to the net method" to remove the net pattern of the picture. In PS, the image is actually composed of a pixel with independent color information, the following figure, each small square is a pixel point, it is the most basic element that makes up a bitmap.

Scanning to the net Method 2

What we normally call "image resolution" (also called pixel per inch) means that 300 pixels are arranged on the horizontal or vertical axis of an inch. If we reduce the image resolution of a picture from the PPI to the PPI, it is reduced from 300 pixel points to an inch of 150 pixels. We can simply understand that a pixel is removed from each of the two adjacent pixels to get the new image. But in fact in this process, PS is the adjacent two pixel point color information in the neutralization, to form a new pixel, rather than directly and rigidly remove a pixel; conversely, when increasing the image resolution of a picture, PS will calculate the adjacent pixel color attribute, and then split the new pixel point. This makes the color transition of the picture relatively smooth, reduce or increase the pixel point while maintaining and the original picture of the overall sense of consistency (this principle in PS called "Automatic Replenishment").

PS of this method to reduce the image pixel points we can be visually understood as a combination of filtering, the extraction of a part of the pixel, the custom called "Draw line." In the same way, we can use this method to remove the screen number of scanned images, so as to remove the mesh in the image. If we want to finally get 300ppi of the picture, then in the scan, should set the scanning resolution for the final result of 3-4 times, where we set to 900ppi, the following image is 900ppi scan after the image of the dot:
