According to a search engine marketing company's iPropect study, more than 80% of users use the search engine without looking at the search results below the third page. This study confirms the importance of the first three pages of the search results. The study also shows that users will regularly use certain websites to search for information, with Google at a rate of 65.8%, making the search engine frequently used by the most respondents in the study.
A search engine User Attitude Survey by search engine marketing company iPropect was conducted in March 2004. A total of 1,649 samples were collected using the Internet as a survey tool. The research results show that most users do not view all the search results, and they will not read a part of the information. 22.6% of search engine users only view the search results on the first page. 18.6% of users only click the search results on the first page. 25.8% of users view the search results on the first two pages, 14.7% of users will stop reading the search results after browsing the first three pages. A total of 81.7% of search engine users will stop reading the search results before reading the first three pages.
In addition, this study also pointed out that when users use search engines, more than 87% of users will use certain search engine websites. 56.7% of users use a specific search engine website, and 30.5% use several different search engines, 12.8% of users use different types of search websites because of their different types of materials.
