Today, the customer needs to create a shared folder on the server and create a new user for the server to generate data for peer reading. The server is win2003, but the user name and password created from the network cannot be accessed after sharing is set,
Remember to read a document saying that this situation requires you to go to "Local Security Settings"> "Local Policy"> "Security Options" in the Policy Group and set "network access: change the local account sharing and security mode to "classic-Local Users have their own authentication ".
But I went to the system and looked at the settings.
This is strange to me. Theoretically, I cannot use the new user name or password, but I can access it by using the administrator account. It seems that the permissions set are insufficient.
With experience, I entered the "user permission assignment" directory and found the "access to this computer from the network" option. Double-click to check that only the Administrator account is here.
Will it be a problem caused by the settings here? immediately add the newly created account to this option.
After the account and password are added, the shared folder is accessed successfully.
It turns out that the account access policy is not enough. You also need to set which accounts can have network access permissions.
We hope this will serve as a reference for you to encounter similar problems in the future.
