Compile: What are "absolute URLs" and "Relative URLs"?
-Absolute path URL: Use the full URL to point to the specified Web page.
-Relative path URL: Use an automatic URL to point to the specified Web page.
For example: www.yoursite.com/page1/index.html the specified Web page,
Www.yoursite.com/page1/index.html as absolute path
/page1/index.html is the relative path.
For a relative path, the browser automatically adds "www.yoursite.com" to the link.
Does Google treat "absolute url" and "relative url" equally?
The research contents are as follows:
-Data 1: Search with 20 different popular query words, and collect the first 20 pages list of each query result
-Result 1: The proportion of links in the search results page list using relative and absolute paths is: 2:3
-Data 2: Top 10 External links in the list of top 20 pages per query result (Inbound links)
-Result 2: The proportion of URLs using relative and absolute paths in external links is: 1:1
-Note: The above external links are limited to text links.
-Conclusion: Google does not care if the URL uses a relative or absolute path in its rankings. Google may have realized that neither of these methods is the same, but reflects the level of the Web designer.
Other precautions:
The following two URLs, whether absolute or relative, will seriously affect the site rankings:
-Real-time trace type URL (tracking URL)
-The URL of the database-driven type (dynamic URL)
The most typical example is the famous game website pogo.com. The site's page rank (PageRank) should be high, but in fact the page level of the site's homepage is "0". The reason for this is that every time Google retrieves pogo.com, it gets a different URL.
