I. server configuration Environment
Hardware:
Inspur inxin N70; P4 1.8 GB; 2 GB memory (a bit old ).
Software:
Win2003entserver; arcims9.2 (SP5); ArcSDE (SP5) (useless currently); web ADF for the Java platform 9.2 (SP5); IIS6 + tomcat6.0.16 + jre15.0.5 _ 15.
Ii. creation process
1. Refer to the ArcIMS manual and use the instance data San Fransico business provided by ESRI to edit the map using the author of ArcIMS, generate the sanfbusiness. Axl file, and save it in the E: \ ArcIMS directory.
2. Configure ArcIMS server using the administrator of ArcIMS.
Hostname: reitserver: 8080
Web Site Directory: e: \ cjproject \ Root
Output directory location: e: \ cjproject \ Root \ output
Output HTTP Location: http: // reitserver: 8080/Output
3. Create a new service in ArcIMS Administrator
Name: sanfbusiness
Mapfile: e: \ ArcIMS \ sanfbusiness. Axl
Image Type: PNG
Other default settings
4. Start ArcIMS web manager for Java platform.
With reference to the help, you have created a web application named sanfbusiness and deployed it successfully. It can be accessed through http: // reitserver: 8398/sanfbusiness. To deploy the service to the server, provide external access, and export the sanfbusiness (export) to sanfbusiness. war file, which is directly placed in the Tomcat application directory (the default installation location is <tomcat installation directory> \ webapps; configured as E: \ cjproject, must be stored at the same level as root .). Tomcat automatically decompress the war file to E: \ cjproject \ sanfbusiness. Then, you can access it through http: // reitserver: 8080/sanfbusiness.
5. Further settings are required to access the site from other locations on the network. Create a new virtual directory sanfbusiness on the IIS cjproject website (the website established when IIS and tomcat are integrated, IP port 81) with the permission to read, access and execute script resources, and direct the directory to E: \ cjproject \ sanfbusiness. So far, a basic WebGIS site has been built based on common sense. However, whether on the server or other clients, access http: // <Server IP address or Domain Name>: 81/sanfbusiness/mapviewer. JSF? When width = 945 & Height = 784, the result shows "this page cannot be found", that is, HTTP 404, the directory or file cannot be found. It should be said that ArcIMS uses JSF to establish a basic site, and there is no problem with the configuration of the JSF file as the JSP file. Why can't we follow the above steps to access the site?
6. I found a solution for several days, especially on ESRI. Finally, we had to open Tomcat port 8080 through http: // <Server IP address or Domain Name>: 8080/sanfbusiness/mapviewer. JSF? Width = 945 & Height = 784, passed.
7. Next, start customizing the HTML viewer.
