Introduction to Apache JMeter
The Apache JMeter is an open source project for the Apache organization, and is a 100%-pure Java Desktop application for stress testing and performance measurement. It was originally designed for Web application testing but later extended to other test areas.
Currently most of the performance testing tools under the Windows platform, in the search for Linux performance testing tools, found JMeter, because of running on the Java Virtual machine, so the platform is not limited, most Linux server currently does not have a graphical interface installed, So first in Linux with analog graphics connectivity (VNC service), the following is the specific steps.
JMeter in Linux Installation
First telnet to the main monitoring Linux server, and has a graphical display. JMeter can be accessed using command-line methods, or it can be used using graphical interfaces.
Open SECURECRT
Login to the main monitor server, if SSH service is not turned on, you need to install SSH service
Input: Vncserver Enter two times password (server needs to open VNC service)
[root@pr2010 ~]# Vncserver
New ' Pr2010:6 (root) ' Desktop is Pr2010:6 (later signed port number)
Starting applications specified In/root/.vnc/xstartup
Log file Is/root/.vnc/pr2010:6.log
If VNC service is not needed to open VNC service, this will not be the case
Open Vncviewer
Enter the server name 10.10.9.215:6 (where you entered the password you just set) into the Linux graphical interface.
Run JMeter need to install JDK and configure environment variables
Installing the JDK on the primary monitoring server
Setting environment variables in/etc/profile text
Open/etc/profile with VI
At the end of the profile file, add: (depending on the location and filename of the installation directory)
Java_home=/opt/jdk1.6.0_20
Path= $JAVA _home/bin: $PATH
Classpath=.: $JAVA _home/lib/tools.jar: $JAVA _home/lib/tools.jar
Export Java_home
Export PATH
Export CLASSPATH
Log in again
In the decompression Jmeter-2.3.1zip
Into the Jmeter/bin directory after decompression
Perform sh jmeter, wait, open the software successfully.
