After more than half a day, I finally connected succeeded and recorded several problems as follows:
Installation environment: Install the Oracle database on Windows, and install the Oracle client and arcsde9.2 on WINXP (which can also be separately installed ).
Installation steps:
1. Install the Oracle client on WINXP or odac. You only need to install the Oracle Net software. Assume that the configured Oracle Connection Service is oracleservicename.
2. Install ArcSDE Program The installation procedure is the same as that for local installation.
3. Install the SP4 patch of ArcSDE 9.2 (preferably ).
4. Open dbinit. Sde In the ECT folder under the $ sdehome directory, if any:
Set oracle_sid = oracleservicename
Changed:
Set local = oracleservicename (oracleservicename refers to the name of the local Oracle connection service configured with Oracle Net)
If not, add: set local = oracleservicename.
5. When configuring the last step to create a service, do not select the wizard in the dialog box to create the service. Oh, you cannot create a service here), but select a command statement to create a service:
Start CMD and enter sdeservice-o create-P sdepasswd-D Oracle9i, <oracle_sid>-n-I esri_sde.
6. Open the SDE service port esri_sde 5151/tcp # ArcSDE for Oracle in the c: \ windows \ system32 \ drivers \ etc \ Services file. (This port is automatically added after SDE is installed)
7. Installation successful
8. sdemon-o start-I esri_sde-P SDE can start the service successfully.
9. In arccatalog, enter the client machine name, service name, and user name and password.
10. The connection is successful. You can view the data in the database on the server in catalog.
