Inverse pivoting converts values from multiple columns in a single record into multiple records with the same value in a single column, making nonstandard datasets a more standard version. For example, each customer occupies one row in the dataset listing the customer names, and the purchased products and quantities are displayed in each column of the row. After the dataset specification is converted to reverse perspective, each product purchased by the customer occupies one row in the dataset.
The next step is to perform reverse fluoroscopy. Unlike the perspective configuration, the reverse perspective configuration is relatively simple.
You will need to select the perspective field. In this example, the perspective fields are ham, soda, milk, beer, and chips. The Perspective field name will appear in the field titled product. You can configure it at the bottom of the screen. The values of these pivotedkey fields (ham, soda, and so on) are placed in the field named qty. You can configure it in the target field.
Pivoting and inverse pivoting conversion are important controls that allow you to improve your data expression. With minimal time and knowledge, you can successfully change your data expression.
