Binary, binary to decimal
1. leveniz invented binary
In March 25, 1679, leveniz wrote a paper entitled "The Interpretation of Binary Arithmetic. In this paper, leveniz provides the binary counting method, systematically discusses the mutual conversion rules between binary and decimal, and provides the addition and multiplication division rules of binary. However, leveniz asked him not to publish his paper immediately. In his thesis, he positioned the binary academic position as an "invention ".
In November 14, 1701, French missionary Bai Jin (F. j. bouvet) wrote a letter to rapuz in Beijing, which was transferred to France and the UK and arrived at rapuz in April 1, 1703. The letter contained a 64-square diagram of Fuxi. It can be considered that the Book of Changes has played an incentive and positive role in binary discovery. In fact, the data structure of the octal chart is similar to that of the modern computer reasoning system. We can think that the Zhouyi system is a big N system, and the so-called Number of everything is 2N. Of course, it cannot be exhausted. Compared with today's computers, the octal diagram is a three-bit computer system with a length of 8 (23) and a 64-bit hexagron with a length of 64 (26 ). Today's computer is a 64-bit system with a word length of 264, it can be considered that the scientific computing completed by today's computers, the digital processing, management, database, network communication, model simulation, and machine intelligence of media are based on a 264 billion hexagrams system, each hexagrams is a sequence composed of 0 and 1. Each digit of the sequence represents or does not mean anything.
Ii. Binary features
With regard to this amazing digital system, lavenitz has only a few pages of exceptionally refined descriptions. If we are familiar with modern people, we can explain binary as follows:
2 ^ 0 = 1
2 ^ 1 = 2
2 ^ 2 = 4
2 ^ 3 = 8
2 ^ 4 = 16
2 ^ 5 = 32
2 ^ 6 = 64
2 ^ 7 = 128
And so on.
Add the number on the right of the equal sign to obtain any natural number.
3. binary data is introduced into the computer.
(1) The technology is simple, and the computer is composed of Logical Circuits. The logical circuit usually has only two States, the two statuses can be expressed as "1" and "0.
(2) Simplified operation rules: There are three combinations of binary numbers and product operations, and the operation rules are simple, which is conducive to simplifying the internal structure of the computer and improving the operation speed.
(3) suitable for logical operations: Logical Algebra is the theoretical basis of logical operations. Binary Systems only have two digits, which exactly matches the true and false values in Logical Algebra.
(4) Easy to convert, binary and decimal numbers are easy to convert to each other.
(5) using binary representation data has the advantages of strong anti-interference ability and high reliability. Because each data has only two statuses: high and low, when it is subject to a certain degree of interference, it can still be reliably determined whether it is high or low.
