Brief steps for installing VMWare Tools: VMWare Tools is a convenient tool for VMWare. The image version is Red Hat Linux Enterprise Server 5 and VMWare Version is 7.1.4. The operation steps for different versions are slightly different. 1. 2. Double-click the virtual drive to go to VMware Tools and run cp VMwareTools-5.5.1-19175.tar.gz/tmp to copy the installation package to the/tmp directory.
3. Execute tar-xzvf/tmp/VMwareTools-5.5.1-19175.tar.gz decompression and the vmware-tools-distrib directory will be automatically generated under the current directory.
4. Run the su root command to log on as an administrator.
5. Run/tmp/vmware-tools-distrib/vmware-install.pl installation and press ENTER
6. Run reboot to restart the system.
