Nowadays, more and more people go abroad/Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan for travel, business trips, and other reasons. Of course, the network is essential. Can routers purchased in China be used with them?
The following describes how to use a home wireless router and a 3G/4G portable router.
Our routers use international standard protocols. Therefore, the Internet access mechanism of the routers is applicable anywhere. However, we need to confirm the following aspects:
Power Adapter
The power adapter used by our domestic home routers. Its input voltage specifications support 100 ~ V wide voltage range, if the foreign/Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan local voltage within this range, you can use the power adapter normally.
Internet access
Domestic residential routers generally use PPPoE, Dynamic IP address, and static IP address to access the internet. In foreign countries, Dynamic IP addresses (I .e. Dynamic IP addresses) are used, while PPPoE is used in a small part, for details, refer to the information provided by local carriers outside China. If you use any of the above methods, you can set up Internet access.
Wireless frequency band
In China, GHz is divided into 13 channels, and most regions outside China are divided into 11 ~ 13 channels, so some countries may not support the use of certain frequency bands (for details, refer to the relevant local regulations ).
Note:5G band support varies greatly. Make sure that your country or region supports the working channel of your vro. Otherwise, your use may fail.
To avoid uncertainty, we recommend that you purchase our foreign router products in the local area.
For a 3G/4G router purchased in China, there are two scenarios:
Domestic
SIM
Card roaming
It is necessary to confirm that the frequencies used by foreign carriers are within the standard range supported by 3G/4G routers, for the standard and frequency supported by our 3G/4G routers, please refer to the actual product (which can be viewed on the official website ). In addition, you need to confirm the following three points:
1. Contact the Chinese carrier to confirm that the SIM card has enabled the roaming function;
2. Go to the 3G/4G router management interface and go
Advanced Settings
>
Dialing settingsTo enable the roaming function;
3. Confirm the APN, dialing username, and dialing password of the local carrier abroad. Our 3G/4G routers are built into most mainstream 3G/4G network operators outside China, which can automatically identify and dial, without the need to manually add dial configuration files. If you cannot identify the networks of some foreign carriers and the dial-up fails, you can go to Advanced Settings> dial-up settings on the router management interface and manually add the local network parameter configuration file.

Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions can be used normally, but it is not ruled out that special regions cannot be used in special environments.
Commercial routers need to consider similar situations as home routers.
Commercial switches only need power supply.
