Chgrp command, chgrp

Chgrp -- change the group to which the file or directory belongs

ChAnge fileGrOuPOwnership

Command path:/bin/chgrp

Execution permission: the root user can execute chgrp to change the group.

 

Example 1: Change the directory group

Chgrp nvsheng/tmp/nvyou

Nvsheng is a new group. Run the above command to change the nvyou directory in the/tmp/directory to nvsheng

Example 2: Change the group to which the file belongs

# Chgrp nvsheng/tmp/nvyou/daqiaoweijiu

Nvsheng is a new group. Run the preceding command to change the group of daqiaoweijiu in the/tmp/nvyou/directory to nvsheng.
