For commonly used folders, we usually create shortcuts for them on the desktop for ease of use, but sometimes it is inconvenient to use them. In fact, there are many other places in the system to store commonly used folders. As long as you add a few settings, we can open our commonly used files anytime, anywhere.

1. Add to the taskbar

If you put common files on the taskbar, it is much easier to find them. In fact, you can create a toolbar on the taskbar so that you can add common folders to it. Right-click the blank area of the taskbar and choose "toolbar/new toolbar". In the displayed window, select a common folder and click "OK, then you can see the folder (1) on the right of the taskbar ). If you do not want to display this folder, right-click the taskbar and choose "toolbar" to remove the check box before the folder name in the sub-menu.

2. Add to the window Toolbar

Do you want to display frequently used folders in each window? In fact, we can add it to the "Link" column. The method for adding a folder is simple. Select a common folder and drag it to the blank space in the "Link" column of the window. Then, the folder shortcut is automatically added to the "Link" column, click it to open the folder (2 ).

3. Right-click the menu

You can also right-click a folder to change the registry. Open the Registry Editor, expand "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREClassesDirectorvshell", right-click "shell", select "new-item", and create a subkey named "folder, double-click "default" in the right window and set the value to the name you want, such as "common Folders "; next, right-click "folder" and choose "New item" to create a subkey named "command". Then, double-click "default" in the right window ", set the value to "c: windowsexplorer.exe c: must read novels", where "c: must read novels" is the path of common folders, and we can change it to another one. Close the Registry Editor after setting all the settings. Right-click a folder and check whether there is an additional "frequently-used folder" item. Click it to open the set folder (3 ).

4. Add to the window position bar

A dialog box will pop up when we open or save the file. There are some useless shortcut positions on the left side of the dialog box. If you put frequently used folders here, after that, it will be much easier to open and save files. This can be modified through the Group Policy.

In the "run" window, enter "gpedit. msc and press enter to open the "Group Policy Editor". Expand the "user configuration/management template/Windows Components/Windows Resource Manager/General Open File Dialog Box" on the left ", double-click "items displayed in the position bar" on the right ". Open the Properties window and select "enabled". Then, you can enter your preferred folder path in the project column below. Click "OK" After selecting the folder.

In this case, open the dialog box to see if all the projects on the left have been changed to their own settings. The preceding settings can be applied to most programs, but cannot be applied to Office programs (4 ).
