Recently, gmailfs has been installed in Ubuntu (6.10) to verify compatibility with gmailfs in Windows. The conclusion is that it is incompatible.
If you are interested, you can verify it by yourself.
The following is the installation and use of gmailfs in Ubuntu Linux, with a bugfix for gmailfs attached.
1. installation:
Sudo apt-Get install gmailfs
This will install the gmailfs-0.7.2.
2. Configuration and use:
Edit/etc/gmailfs. conf and modify username and password.
Sudo mkdir/mnt/Gmail
Sudo mount. gmailfs NONE/mnt/Gmail
Or specify the user name and password:
Sudo mount. gmailfs NONE/mnt/Gmail-O username = <your Gmail account>, password = <your password>
After the mount is successful, you can use common Linux File Operation commands, such:
Sudo CP hello.txt/mnt/Gmail/
Sudo ls/mnt/Gmail/
3. Problems and Solutions:
1) "HTTP 404 bad request" error
Solution: edit the libgmail. py file and set
Code:
Try:
Link = Re. Search (re_page_redirect, pagedata). Group (1)
Redirecturl = urllib. Unquote (Link)
Add a line of code to become:
Code:
Try:
Link = Re. Search (re_page_redirect, pagedata). Group (1)
Redirecturl = urllib. Unquote (Link)
Redirecturl = redirecturl. Replace ('/x26 ','&')
