This xmanager is killing me. I finally completed the configuration today and shared my experience with you. There are a lot of nonsense on the Internet. I am absolutely original and successful.
1. Check the startup level. The command is as follows:
# Cd/etc # cp inittab. Bak # Cat inittab
For example:
Make sure that the content in the red box is 5.
2 Configure/etc/TPD/custom. conf
Add these statements under [XDMCP]
Enable = true
Port = 177
Add the following under [security:
Allowroot = true
Allowremoteroot = true
For example:
3. Modify/etc/X11/xdm-config.
Add "!" to the front of displaymanager. requestport: 0, Delete this sentence.
4. Modify/etc/X11/xdm/xaccess. Direct:
Before the statement in the red box, there was originally "#". Kill the "#" and release the two sentences.
The next step is nothing. If the experiment environment does not need to enable the firewall, the command is simple:
# Service iptables stop
Xmanager does not need to be configured. If you really need to configure it, remember to configure it here:
The port must be the same as the port in step 2.
It should be noted that if you are Windows 7 like me, the following steps cannot be omitted:
Turn off the Windows Firewall!
I have never turned off the firewall, so it is always a strange situation:
This is too dazzling.
Restart your Linux server.
I did it.
