Configure mysql in MAC ox and mysql in macox

Download MySQL Installer: http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/
Select the dmg package, download the package, double-click it, open the corresponding pkg package, and click Next until the installation is successful.

Start and Stop the MySQL Service

• Start MySQL Service

  sudo /usr/local/mysql/support-files/mysql.server start

• Stop MySQL Service

  sudo /usr/local/mysql/support-files/mysql.server stop

• Restart MySQL Service

  sudo /usr/local/mysql/support-files/mysql.server restart

 

Forgot the MySQL root Password for Mac OS? You can reset the new password in the following four steps:

1. Stop mysql server. Generally, in 'System preference setting'> MySQL> 'Stop MySQL Server'

2. Open the terminal and enter:
Sudo/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysqld_safe -- skip-grant-tables

3. Open another terminal and enter:
Sudo/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql-u root
UPDATE mysql. user SET authentication_string = PASSWORD ('new password') WHERE User = 'root ';
Flush privileges;

4. Restart MySQL.
