How to delete Ubuntu and reinstall Ubuntu in Windows 7
Install the NVIDIA driver for ubuntu11.10. Ubuntu is broken and cannot be started. I am a dual-system, windows7 + ubuntu11.10. Now you need to safely delete ubuntu. There are a lot of online content in this regard. I will record my detailed steps here to avoid some detours.
I recommend the following dual-system (win7 + UBUNTU) installation method:
1) First, the entire disk of the machine is a C:. The installation method is to first install windows7 on the entire disk C: \, and then a shrink disk is sent to ubuntu11.10.
C: Windows 7, and ubuntu11. Click it on the USB flash drive to create a boot disk.
2) It makes no sense to divide windows into multiple logical disks. It is also increasingly confusing to install dual systems and will be difficult to manage in the future. Another benefit of installing the dual-host system is that if Windows 7 is broken, you can enter Ubuntu to save the files in Windows 7. Windows 7 is visible to Ubuntu, and vice versa.
Now I want to delete ubuntu11.10.
This document assumes that your Windows 7 is installed on the C: disk and has not been tested in other locations.
Step 3: Start Windows 7 and repair MBR.
Under win7, click to enter:
Start> All Programs> accessories)
InCommandprompt)Right-click and run as administrator ).
(Refer to: mbrfix.win7.txt)
Assume that the USB flash disk is F:, and the root directory contains mbrfix.exe:
Cd f:
F:/> mbrfix.exe/drive 0 fixmbr/win7
Press enter. After the prompt is displayed, Press Y.
Step 2: delete ubuntu.
In win7Computer)Right-clickManage)->Diskmanagement):
There are two non-volume names (the volume name is the drive letter, such as C:, D:, E :,...) Primarypartition is the Ubuntu partition,
The window color of the primary partition is dark blue.
One of them is the swap partition, which is similar to the physical memory size of the machine; the other is the root partition, which is similar to the size you allocated to it.
Right-click the two partitions, and select deletevolume ),After the volume is deleted, the color of the partition window turns green..
Right-click the partition and select Delete partition. The two partitions are merged into one.Unknown partition. The color of the partition window turns black..
If you do not want to install Ubuntu, you can create extended partitions, format, assign volume labels, and use them for Windows 7.
If you want to install Ubuntu, do not perform any operations after you delete the partition.
Step 2: reinstall ubuntu.
Follow the prompts on the Ubuntu website to create a USB flash drive to start the installation disk. Use a USB flash drive to guide the system. Go to the Ubuntu installation page and follow the instructions.
