We often use IIS servers, but in many cases, their versions are different. What should we do? If the versions of the IIS servers that are backed up are different, you can use the IIS Export Utility IISEU tool: http://www.adsonline.co.uk/iisexport/Download.asp to port IIS configuration information between different versions of IIS servers.
Old network management experience
The IIS configuration information must be stored in the mdb database file. Therefore, when you view the configuration information, you need to install software such as Access, this will incur more resource costs.
If you want to port the configuration information of an IIS server to another server, it is very convenient to use IISEU, and it also supports transplantation between different versions of IIS sites.
In the IISEU main window, the "Import from" and "Export to" boxes on both sides represent the local and remote IIS sites, respectively, go to the "An IIS Server" and "Another IIS Server" tabs, enter the machine name or IP address in the blank bar on both sides. Then, select the website and IIS version to be transplanted from the local IIS Site box on the left, select the IIS version from the remote IIS box on the right, and select the "Overwrite existing webs" option, finally, click "Export" to complete the migration.
1. Before debugging the server, you must back up the relevant server and network parameters;
2. Methods for backing up and recovering IIS server parameters include: using the GUI backup and recovery tools carried by the IIS server, using command line scripts, and using third-party software.
The first and second methods are simple and available everywhere, and the second method can also back up and restore remote servers. However, the two methods cannot be used to port configurations between servers; third-party software is more convenient to operate, more powerful and has the function of porting configurations, but some third-party software must install the corresponding database software to support it, therefore, it is generally not the best choice.
We will explain how to maintain the IIS server. I hope you can learn more.
