I think you have already installed the SP2 patch for your system. I don't know if you noticed it. After completing the SP2 patch, in the "Add/delete programs" dialog box on the control panel, an option called "set program access and default value" is added, as shown in 1. "Set program access and default value" simplifies the process of specifying the default program for activity (such as Internet surfing and email sending. In addition, you can specify programs that can be accessed from the "Start" menu, desktop, and other locations. This function makes setting programs very convenient. However, if you share a computer with others, it also brings us a lot of trouble if someone else modifies the program we set. If you do not like this function, you may want to block it. The effect is shown in Figure 2. You can see the difference by comparing the two figures.
Method 1: Registry Step 1 click Start | run, enter Regedit in the run dialog box, and press enter to open the Registry Editor. Step 2 expand the following branches in sequence: [HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftware MicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersion Policies], right-click "Policies", and create a new "item" named "uninstall ". Step 3 select the newly created "uninstall", create a New DWORD Value in the window on the right, name it "NoChooseProgramsPage", double-click it, and change its value data to "1 ", 3. Click "OK" and close the registry editor. Step 4. Press F5 to refresh the page. Now, open the "Add/delete programs" window to see if the "set program access and default values" option disappears.
