Disk Partition tutorial for the ThinkPad preinstalled with WIN10 system, win10thinkpad

Some laptops with genuine WIN10 pre-installed in the factory usually have only one partition by default. we sometimes need to create multiple partitions. You can follow the tutorial below

By default, the "this computer" icon does not exist on the desktop. We need to display it on the desktop first to facilitate subsequent operations.

Click "topic" on the left"

Click "desktop icon Settings"

Tick the "computer" icon to display it on the desktop.

Now, the desktop has the "this computer" icon. Right-click the icon and select "properties"

Click "Advanced System settings" on the left"

Click the "System Protection" tab.

Select the disk in the drive and click "Configure ".

When a prompt appears, ignore it. The purpose of disabling system protection is to create partitions of any size.

Right-click the "this computer" icon on the desktop and choose "manage" this time"

Click "disk management" in the list on the left"

Then, you can see the status of the disk. Right-click the drive C and select "compressed volume"

Enter the size to be compressed. This step is to narrow down the drive C to create more partitions.

You can find that there is unallocated space next to it. Right-click the unallocated space and select "new simple volume"

Enter the size of the new partition, create a new partition, and create multiple partitions.
