To solve similar problems, Microsoft provides a system configuration Utility (msconfig) in the system ).
After logging on to the system as a system administrator, click Start> Run and enter msconfig and press enter to start the System Configuration Utility (figure 1 ). The following example describes how to use msconfig (using WINXP as an example) in detail ).

1. Select the Startup Mode

4. Clearly view the service
We know that many system services will be started with windows, and some software often registers some of its components as system services, especially after some viruses/Trojans are registered as system services, they often hide in the background and are not easy to detect.
How can I check the services that have been run by the system and registered with other software? Click "service" on the main interface. msconfig lists all the system services. In the "Basic" option, you can also check whether the service is a basic service of the system, the service provider and running status can be known through the "manufacturer" and "status" (figure 6 ).
