Edit command line-move the cursor/modify text/cut and paste text

Alt-Backspace: cut the text from the cursor to the header. If the cursor starts with a word, cut the previous word

Cursor movement command

Ctrl-A: Move the cursor to the beginning of the line.

Ctrl-E: Move the cursor to the end of the row.

Ctrl-F: Move the cursor one character forward.

Ctrl-B: Move the cursor one character backward.

Alt-F: Move the cursor forward a word.

Alt-B: Move the cursor backward.

Ctrl-L: clear the screen.

Modify text

Ctrl-D: delete the character at the cursor.

Ctrl-T: enable the character at the cursor to match the character above it.

Alt-T: match the character at the cursor with the word above it.

Alt-L: converts characters at the cursor to lowercase letters.

Alt-U: converts the characters at the cursor into uppercase letters.

Ctrl-K: cut the text from the cursor to the end of the line.

Ctrl-U: cut the text from the cursor to the beginning of the line.

Alt-D: cut the text from the cursor to the end of the current word.

Alt-Backspace: cut the text from the cursor to the header. If the cursor starts with a word, cut the previous word.

Ctrl-Y: paste the text in the buffer to the cursor position.
