After research, the author found that by redefining the data format can greatly improve the input efficiency, such as input "0.001" just enter "1" can, the following is the specific implementation methods and steps:

Method One: Set the decimal point automatically

1, select the cells that need input data;

2, on the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Edit tab;

3, select the "Automatically set the decimal point" check box;

4, in the "digit" box, enter the number of decimal places, in this case, enter "3";

5, click "OK" button to start entering data.

Edit hint: In the digits box, you can enter a positive number or negative numbers. For example, if you enter "3" in the number of digits box and then type "1" in the cell, the value is "0.001". If you enter 3 in the number of digits box, and then type "1" in the cell, the value is "1000", and the number entered before the "Automatically set decimal" option is selected is not affected by the number of decimal places.

 Method Two: Custom data format

1, select the cells that need input data;

2, on the Format menu, click Cells, select the Number tab;

3. Select "Custom" in the "Category" dropdown box;

4, click the "type" input box, enter the new format type "0.000,", note the comma "," is a half-width English character, not Chinese full-width punctuation;

5. Click the OK button to start entering data.

Edit tip: You can define the number of decimal places by customizing the type, include commas in the number format, make commas appear as thousands separators, or reduce the number by 1000 times times. For the number "1000", the definition of type "# ###" will appear as "1 000", and "#" when defined as "1".

It is not difficult to see that, although you can achieve the same function by using both of these methods, but there is still a difference: Using Method-one-change settings will work for all cells in the datasheet, method two is only valid for selected cells, use method two to set different data formats for the data types of different cells.
